I have a passion for the wine industry. Early in my life, I was introduced to the wine industry through a relative and fell in love with the industry. It took me some time to land at a family winery and by the time I did, I had compiled a background with broad business experience. Once in the wine business, I applied that experience to every aspect of a struggling winery and turned it into a profitable and premium operation. The winery was awarded over 100 medals and 90+ point wine scores during my tenure. I finished my time with the winery after many years as GM and winemaker. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and work with many people in the wine industry all across the state of Washington. I am excited not only go grow those relationships but build new ones. I look forward to continue my work at more wineries while promoting Washington as a world-class wine region.
Making wine is a romanticized business for good reason. How could it not be? However, it takes a lot of work to achieve success. The work includes licensing, compliance, wine making, personnel, training, production, development, marketing, and meeting the customers face to face along with so much more. It is hard to hire full time staff to take care of so many of these things. Our goal is twofold. We strive to give you the best advice for the overall operation and perhaps more importantly, we take on some of those time-consuming responsibilities for far less money than it would take to hire more full time staff. Doing this can bring the winery owners some well needed work-life balance which can often be elusive.
The wine industry is very dependent on the relationships you have with customers, vendors and partners. Having a partner who strives to provide the best service possible is important. Premium service can elevate the overall experience of customers, club members, vendors and the owner. When you can do it all with a smile, it enhances the whole experience to the next level. Positive team building, coaching, training, servicing and interaction can be infectious to an entire team and their customers.
