Ken Abbott
Ken Abbott is the founder and CEO. He has a passion for the wine industry. Early in his life, he was introduced to the wine industry through a relative and fell in love with the winery business. It took some time to circle back to the wine world, but by the time he did, he had compiled a background in management, development, compliance, consulting, wine-making, and customer service.
Once in the wine business, he applied that experience to every aspect of a winery and turned it into a profitable and premium operation. The winery was awarded over 100 medals and 90+ point wine scores during his tenure. He finished his time with the winery after many years as GM and winemaker. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet and work with the great people in the wine industry all across the state of Washington. He looks forward to continuing his work at more wineries across the country and learning about each one.
Ken is an avid hiker/biker/tennis player and loves the outdoors. While running a winery, it was hard for him to find time to do activities like hiking. Helping owners and managers have balance in their own lives is very important to him.
Carlos Reiner
Carlos Reiner is the Vice President of the Wine Club Division at Woodinville Winery Services and brings years of hands-on experience working alongside US wineries to strengthen and grow their direct-to-consumer programs. His background centers on wine club operations, new winery onboarding, marketing, and staff training. With both winery and wine software backgrounds, Carlos has a practical understanding of both the tasting room floor and operational pain points wineries face. Carlos works inside the systems that wineries already use, helping teams improve efficiency, reduce costly errors, and increase retention without disruptive platform changes. His goal is to help wineries provide the best customer experience they can to their members.
Work life balance in the wine world
Making wine is a romanticized business for good reason. How could it not be? However, The work it takes to succeed behind the scenes can be very burdensome. The work includes compliance, licensing, accounting, wine making, personnel, training, production, development, marketing, and meeting the customers face to face along with so much more.
The cost of staff and the time needed to run a winery can be huge obstacles for a winery. Our goal is twofold. We take on the time-consuming tasks for you, and we do it for far less money than it would take to operate in traditional models.
